2nd Grade Neutral Owls

2nd Grade Neutral Owls

2nd graders learned about neutral colors... black, white, grays, browns and tans. Students created drawings of owls by combining a variety of shapes and lines. Students used black and white tempera paint and mixed a variety of neutral grays to paint in their owl with. Neutral colored construction paper was used to make a collaged background for the owl. Students worked on the following learning targets for this project...
- I can mix at least 3 different values of gray (light gray, medium gray, and dark gray).
- I can combine a variety of lines and shapes to create a drawing of an owl.
- I can show careful use of craftsmanship in my work.
