5th Grade Art Museum Recreations

     5th graders took a field trip to the Milwaukee Art Museum. While at the museum, students went around in groups on docent-lead tours. Following the tour, students were given the task of choosing one artwork (either 2D or 3D), to complete an art critique on and sketch. Once back at school, students worked on recreating these artworks, most on a smaller scale. Students were given the task of recreating the artwork to the best of their ability, using the same materials and mediums, if possible. Some students chose to recreate artworks that were created in materials that we do not have access to, and therefore had to come up with alternative materials that were similar.
